A3ES Accreditation
The Portuguese Higher Education Assessment and Creditation Agengy (Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior - A3ES) on September 31, 2020, renewed the accreditation of the master course in Engineering and Quality Management, without conditions, for a 6 years period, and approved the new study planning. Certifications
Students who successfully finish the curricular part of the program are entitled to the following certificates:

Advanced training degree certificate in Engineering and Quality Management (issued by UMinho),

Qualification of internal auditor of Quality ISO 9001, course with access to people certification - SGS Portugal. This certification is issued by SGS Portugal as part of the Seminar Course. The issuance of the certificate is dependent on the frequency and approval at SGS Seminars.

Metrology training certificate - Portuguese Association for Quality (APQ). This certification is issued by APQ within the scope of the Seminar Course Unit. The issuance of the certificate is dependent on the frequency and approval at the APQ Seminars.

Brief description
The Master's in Engineering and Quality Management highlights engineering and management techniques applied to planning and improvement of products and services and planning, control and improvement of process quality.

With curricular content focused on subject areas of great importance for the Master's in Engineering and Quality Management, MEGQ provides advanced training focusing in two key points: (i) improvement of process and product quality and (ii) in the integration of Quality management on organisational management.

Career prospects
A Master in Engineering and Quality Management can perform functions in all types of companies and organizations, from industry to services, public or private, regardless of their size and area of economic activity.
Graduates of this course present a differentiated training in the quantitative components of Engineering and Quality Management that enables them to perform diverse and highly demanding functions. Some examples:

Process / design engineers
Quality engineers
Quality auditors or analysts
Quality manager
Consultants and / or trainers
Maintenance manager
