PROJECT MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP 2024

The 2024 Project Management Workshop aims to be a day of knowledge sharing on Project Management.

It is organised by the steering committee of the Master’s Degree in Engineering Project Management (MGPE) and will take place at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, in Guimarães, on 12 January 2024. It will be attended by students, lecturers and invited project management professionals from various national and international organisations.

The programme includes two sessions restricted to MGPE students and one session open to the public.

14:05/16:00 – Monorail EVM-case by  Stefan Creemers,  Proove, Portugal

During the Monorail EVM case, the participants are taught  the concepts of EVM and challenged to create a baseline schedule. After defining the baseline schedule, it´s time to execute the project. The participants get progress reports and will update the progress. They will use the KPIs known to Earned Value to evaluate the project’s financial and schedule health. Before and after the case, the teacher will share some of the lessons learned during EVM implementation assignments.
