PROFESSORS ANABELA ALVES AND PAULA FERREIRA AMONG THE WORLD'S MOST CITED SCIENTISTS
Professors Anabela Alves and Paula Ferreira, from our department, are included in the prestigious list of the world’s most cited scientists in 2025, compiled by Stanford University in partnership with Elsevier.
This international ranking, known as World’s Top 2% Scientists, identifies researchers whose scientific impact is most recognised globally, considering the number of citations, the relevance of publications, and the consistency of scientific output.
In this year’s edition, the School of Engineering at the University of Minho has 37 distinguished scientists, including professors Anabela Alves and Paula Ferreira, researchers at the Algoritmi Centre, reinforcing the excellence and relevance of the research carried out in our department.
This international recognition is a source of great pride for our academic and scientific community, bearing witness to the contribution of our female lecturers to the advancement of knowledge and to the projection of the University of Minho on the world stage.
