DPS DIRECTORS GALLERY
On 11 December 2024, the Production and Systems Department Directors’ Gallery was inaugurated. The event brought together members of the academic community in a celebration that highlighted the department’s fundamental role over the years.
The gallery, located in the lobby of the DPS Meeting Room in Azurém, consists of paintings depicting each of the directors who have led the department since its creation.
The current director of the DPS, Professor Paulo Sampaio, opened the ceremony with a brief speech: “The gallery initiative has allowed us to recover the history of the DPS and to honour the people who helped build it. This gallery is a tribute to the history of our department and to the work of all those who have passed through here or are still here. Each of the directors contributed in a unique way to the growth of the DPS.”
Among those honoured, memorable moments from their time in office were recalled and heartfelt thanks were given to the teams who supported them.
The event ended with a toast that provided a moment of integration and celebration among the participants.
